Please go over your lighting setup. Usually with young dragons issues with the setup is what we see here. Also be aware of any environmental changes that you might haved overlooked, a new puppy , kitten new stereo or tv that’s now more close. Sometimes the smallest thing can stress them.

I’d add to this: changes that are something in our face, like: sunglasses, generally getting new glasses, using make-up, changing the hair color, wearing clothes in a color not used before. “On the shoulder”, as it was mentioned, is near the face… and he might have seen something like that now more close-up.
I’d rather say a new larger pet is a change super obvious to many people, but the above we usually don’t register as that “big”, especially when we maybe used any of that before, but just not when the dragon was present. For an animal that uses color to communicate this is, however, a big confusing change.

Also, especially near the window, I can imagine that he saw a bird very much. My dragon was very scared of them (we have vultures here) in the beginning, but as they are a regular occurrence (we have really tons of them, similar to other cities having pigeons), he now got somewhat used to them. Still, I would not guarantee he’s fine with them so I use a harness for my dragon when being on the balcony or near an open window with him.
